It hasn’t been long since Darling West released their critically acclaimed fourth album We'll Never Know Unless We Try, but due to a pandemic and canceled tour, Mari and Tor Egil Kreken suddenly had plenty of time on their hands.

Darling West have stayed busy during their time off the road due to the ongoing pandemic. Just months after releasing their acclaimed record We’ll Never Know Unless We Try, they are ready to share new music with fans.

Cosmic folk. That’s the term Lucinda Williams put on Darling West after sharing the stage with the Norwegian duo a few years back. An appropriate term, even though their new material also leans into sunny West Coast landscapes.

Together with Odd Nordstoga, a Norwegian superstar in his own right, Darling West performed this Bruce Springsteen cover for the Norwegian tv-show, Trygdekontoret. By popular demand, they recorded and released the song on Jansen Records.
