Class Photo - Light Years Later

Originally hailing from California, Patrick Morris is perhaps most known from US indie-band STRFKR who had their major breakthrough album Miracle Mile in 2013.

After years of heavy worldwide tours, Morris started to feel weary. Weary from traveling, weary from touring, while much of the musical joy that he’d felt before had disappeared. Morris decided it was time to uproot and relocate to his wife’s home country of Norway, where he now lives and makes extremely catchy pop tunes. 

Class Photo is Patrick Morris’ solo project, and combines introverted electro-funk with power pop à la Weezer’s Blue Album. It almost sounds like Daft Punk on a mission to breathe life into old Weezer-classics, replete with big guitar hooks, neatly packaged in beats and nostalgia.

 Having completed his debut album in Oslo, Morris started working with drummer Henrik Lødøen (Rohey, Mikhael Paskalev) and bassist Tage Lægreid Olsen, forging the live set-up of Class Photo.
